Personal Learning Network

Image
Personal learning networks are rich resources for learning. The diversity of PLN provides teachers with endless opportunities for educational resources, methods, and strategies. I have categorized personal learning networks into three categories based on my personal experience. The first category is for networks that I did not think would be a learning platform, such as Instagram. The other category is the one I have already taken advantage of in my lessons, like Pinterest. The third category is the one I am motivated and curious to use, which is the Twitter platform.             I have created an account on Twitter . I had followed the guidance steps in the edutopia article . I introduced myself in my profile.  I also used an image while preserving its rights.  I added three accounts, Dr. @elangran ,  @edutopia , and FCPS . In @edutopia, I found a great learning resource that suggested...

Pear Deck

Pear Deck is a great interactive website where I can create my presentation using google slides and assess my students face to face or online. My experience was rich and enjoyable. I am sure that it will help me as a teacher to give presentations in an organized and engaging way. In addition, it will enable me to evaluate all my students and provide immediate assistance to them. On the other side, my students will be able to join the presentations by using their devices. They will participate and interact with enthusiasm. They will answer questions independently. It will allow each student to enter the class code, join it, and participate on a separate page.             When I created my pear deck account , I found many templates in the library. Specialists designed these templates to be flexible and classified them into three categories for the beginning, middle, and end of...

Google Jamboard

Jamboard is a great online, free, and interactive app. My experience was enjoyable. I found it a great visual and collaborative tool for online, synchronous, and asynchronous personal learning. In addition, it helped me organize and preserve the information. Jamboard contains many tools that benefit me as a teacher, my lessons, and my students. There are many colors in the application. I chose white, yellow, gray, and black as the theme for my post on jamboard . In addition, I used a lot of tools like a pen to draw arrows. I drew some arrows that I did not like, but clicking the eraser enabled me to erase them and make great arrows. In addition, there are Sticky Notes. I wrote some notes by using them. It is available in many colors, but I chose yellow to match the theme of my post. There is also a tool that has a variety of shapes. I used it several times to make rectangles, squares, and circles. I created one shape the size and color I wanted. I clicked on du...

Digitally-manipulated Image

Image
As a teacher, I always look for the best ways to teach students. I believe visual learning is one of the great methods that help students learn and succeed. Visual tools have a powerful impact on students learning and the long-term retention of information, so I should choose them carefully. I am sure that the appropriate choice of visual tools such as images has a significant role in achieving the purpose and the success of the educational process and students. Images should be of high quality, suitable for content and educational purpose, and easy to understand. That makes students respond and engage in learning enjoyably. I will use images and the images I digitally manipulated in blended teaching. I will show the picture using technology, so all students will have the opportunity to discuss their thinking about the photo, participate, and express their ideas in class or online. They will interact with their peers and benefit from each other's ideas. They also will be able to ...
