Edpuzzle Flipped Classroom
This post provides an introduction and a brief explanation of creating my first lesson using Edpuzzle Flipped Classroom. I created a video for a second-grade reading lesson based on the standard of expanding vocabulary using prefixes and suffixes. I provided my students with basic information on how to expand vocabulary using prefixes and suffixes and their importance in students' language development. It also provided some illustrative examples. In addition, I created two posters to explain the two concepts and supported them with drawings of my own. To make my lesson interactive, I added some words of encouragement. In addition, I challenged my students to discover the difference between the concepts of prefixes and suffixes. I designed the lesson in comfortable colors and fonts for my students. I also reduced the words written on each page so my students wouldn't get upset. At the end of the lesson, I created a quick review. I added instructions because my students are second grade, some of them are language learners, and some have disabilities. I pointed out that the lesson contains questions, so students must answer them. In addition, I provided an activity for practice.
Edpuzzle Flipped Classroom will give my students the opportunity for independent learning and allow everyone to learn at their own pace and method. In addition, the feature of adding captions will serve students' learning, especially students with disabilities and language learners. If students are absent due to a health condition, weather conditions, or any other reason, they will not miss the lesson. It will be available for them. Edpuzzle questions will enable me to know the students who attended the class. They also support students' understanding. The practice question will allow students to apply what they have learned and will enable me to reinforce their understanding the next day and improve that for those who have had difficulties. Flipped Classroom is a beneficial method for teachers, students, and the educational process.
